Grade 11 student Serena proudly represented SIS at the Genius Olympiad, an international environmental sustainability competition.

Congratulations to Aamira for receiving the Gold Award and First Runner-Up at the 20th Hong Kong (Asia Pacific) Music Competition – Asia Pacific Challenge Cup Finals 2026.
As the youngest participant in the Youth Class, competing alongside university-level musicians, Aamira demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication, and artistic expression.

Congratulations to Nola from Grade 4/5 FIP for her outstanding success in the 16th Hong Kong International Violin Competition. Nola won First Prize in the China Preliminary Round and Second Prize in the Grand Finals, showcasing her perseverance and passion for music.

Kayla proudly represented SIS at the Nanshan District Youth Climbing Competition, winning 3rd Place in the U8 Lead Climbing category.
Having started climbing at the age of five, her achievement reflects years of dedication, resilience, and discipline. Through this challenging sport, Kayla has developed confidence, perseverance, and problem-solving skills.
We hope her journey encourages more SIS students to discover their passions and reach new heights.

We are proud to celebrate Grade 3 student Cheney, who achieved an impressive 5th place finish at the 3rd National Youth Skiing Tour Finals in March 2026.
Competing against nearly 200 young athletes from across China, Cheney showcased remarkable versatility and determination in both Alpine Skiing Giant Slalom and Snowboarding Giant Slalom.
This achievement reflects Cheney’s passion, resilience, and dedication to the sport. Congratulations on this incredible milestone—we look forward to seeing even greater success on the slopes ahead!

Net Valley student Minsung and his team, "Words that Build Worlds," have won the ACAMIS Service Learning Grant. The DEIJB Student Advisory Board is honored to receive a $500 grant for their project.
The project promotes inclusive language through various activities. The Advisory Board is currently running "Community Circles" with Grade 6 and 7 mentor classes (soon expanding to Grade 8) and plans to continue "Mosaic of Our Voices," which shares Geckos' voices to highlight the importance of inclusive language.

来自中学网谷校区的Minsung及其团队 "Words that Build Worlds" 近期荣获 ACAMIS服务式学习专项奖学金。DEIJB 学生咨询委员会非常荣幸能获得这笔500美元的项目资助。
该项目致力于通过多元化的活动推广“包容性语言”。目前，委员会正面向 6、7年级的Mentor课程开展“社区圆桌派”，并计划拓展至8年级。此外，他们将继续推进 "Mosaic of Our Voices" 项目，通过分享Geckos的真实心声，诠释包容性叙事的深远意义。

Grade 11 student Minsung visited the Bay Campus to share four Korean folktales he had retold in English and Spanish with Grade 4 students. Through stories of kindness, honesty, and courage, Minsung inspired younger learners and promoted cultural understanding. His books have also been donated to the Bay Campus library for the whole community to enjoy.
11年级的Minsung近期来小学太子湾校区，为4年级的同学们带来了四则由他亲自用英文与西班牙语重塑的韩国民间传说。
通过这些关于善良、诚实与勇气的故事，Minsung激发了年幼学子们的想象力，同时也搭建起了一座文化互鉴的桥梁。目前，这些绘本已捐赠至小学太子湾校区图书馆，供整个社区传阅分享。
SIS alumni Ms. Victoria Wong’s musical journey has taken her from our classrooms to world-renowned institutions, including the New England Conservatory and The Juilliard School. Before her six-city concert tour in China, she returned to SIS to mentor Grade 8 and 9 pianists, sharing her expertise and inspiring the next generation of musicians.

We are immensely proud of Yara (Grade 9) and Ziyuan (Grade 11) for their stellar performance at the prestigious ROD Debate competition.
Achieving a clean sweep with five consecutive wins in the preliminary rounds, they advanced to the finals with remarkable momentum. Their individual brilliance was equally recognized:
Yara: 1st Best Speaker (Overall Competition)
Ziyuan: 3rd Outstanding Speaker
